Week 3:

I have created a video presentation on:

Why we do asset management What hardware and software assets to look for Ranking the risks that affect these.

Reflection:

It was over zealous to think I could “teach” a video each week on the whole topic set out in the proposal. What i’ve discovered is that the content is quite dense and each chapter has multiple concepts. Once put into video form, it ends up being over 15 minutes long which is difficult to digest. Full video has been posted up on my youtube channel, and based on feedback, I have changed the video to be shorter with only one concept.

Goals:

Read and summarise User and Network Infrastructure Planning and Management

Create and record video content, send it to my cohort for teaching and receive feedback.

Incorporate feedback I had last week into my video

Barriers I had this week:

Trying to finish reading, understanding, summarising with enough time to record and make a video. This feels like an ongoing battle.

The content is quite dense and has multiple concepts to grasp. The video ends up being quite long and difficult to follow. After the feedback I received, I edited the video and produced a 2nd video which is shorter and only presents one concept.

Following concepts will be produced for the following weeks. This essentially will change the scope of my proposal. Deliverable will be the same, but content will be reduced so that it is more palatable for my audience’s learning.

Due to all these changes (had to chop and change the video multiple times) the video was late out and reduces the time in which I can receive feedback from my peers.

Achievements I had this week:

Managed to get through a lot of dry content which was a real struggle at times.

Made several versions of the video to try to make it easier to understand - finally found a solution - reduce the content and concepts which will make it easier!

More exciting moments and understanding and things are clicking together more. The project was able to help some of my activities, particularly the risk assessment.

Next week's plan:

Running a risk assessment and creating a management plan

Create video content and incorporating feedback received from previous week.

Feedback - To come
