Cybersecurity Risk Management by Cynthia Brumfield and turning it into weekly teachable video material
Week 4 Deliverable:
I have created a video presentation on:
- Running a risk assessment and creating a management plan
Reflection:
This week was much smoother. There was less course work so I was able to complete that and have more time on reading/summarising/video creation. My project is also starting to gel together more and now that I have a greater understanding of the NIST Framework, I have been able to apply it in course work and case study discussions.
Goals:
- Create the video on risk assessment and management plan. Within the video, go through vulnerabilities/threats and ranking them based on organisational priorities.
- Get started on reading and summarising User and Network Infrastructure Planning and Management
- Send video to my cohort for teaching and receive feedback.
- Improve video with feedback
Challenges:
Less barriers this week as my plan on completing the video first was a good idea. I was able to release the video by Wednesday.
Only had 1 person provided feedback on my video last week - this is due to a combination of factors: people were overwhelmed with their own course work and I got the video out later during the week.
Achievements I had this week:
Adhered to my plan of 1 concept per video - this ensured better understanding for viewers and video length which is more appropriate.
I managed to get through the video creation/editing and uploaded it to cohort via discord/whatsapp and the Open Learning homepage. Homepage is new and definitely putting myself out there to receive a wider audience - hoping more people would give constructive feedback which I could incorporate into future videos
Less barriers to achieving my goals 🙂
Next week's plan:
-
Learn about and create content on Access Control
-
Create video content and incorporating feedback received from previous week.
